At this time, two weeks from now, we should be driving through Utah on our way to Botcon. Hell to the yeah. I’m so excited and I just can’t hide it. Yay. See, told ya. So even after only one week, nothing in the stores and no review, we still have enough to fill a couple of hours. We even demonstrate our complete inability to read out load. Gather round folks, gather round and witness the amazing husband and wife team as they fumble over word after word. They will mesmerize you with their total lack of even the most basic of reading skills.
This week we get even more guests for Botcon. Matty Collector finally gets their act together with the subscription service. Well, kinda. The Star Wars Q&A reveals a few interesting tidbits. I think this was the official week of official images. Star Wars, G.I. Joe and Transformers, all get some love. And now, not only have we seen repaints of figures not out yet, we get Chinese knock offs of figures that are not out yet too. It’s a topsy turvy toy world and we’re just livin’ in it. Also, you heard right, Christmas ornaments. Didn’t we just have one of those?

Greetings from Murdo, SD. Yes, that’s Murdo, South Dakota. Where is Murdo, South Dakota you ask? About 2 hours east of Mount Rushmore. I am on my 2nd Tornado 10 day hunt, and there are no Tornadoes expected for a few days, so we’ll just venture across the country here and look for things to tickle our fancy along the way.

I won’t have any toy reviews until the beginning of June as I’m only in Florida for 5 days total this month of May. (The crowd starts throwing tomatoes) (I eat one, yummy!) To make up for no toy reviews, I have some movie reviews below.

I have a connection in Target who works as a stock person. He has Breaking News on ROTF figures. Here is his report: “They are not here yet.” But not to worry, soon as he gets those puppies in there, he’s going to take a picture of the boxes that contain the figures. Hey, it’s better than nothing right? Think of the boxes like the Ark in Indiana Jones. DON’T LOOK AT THE PRICE TAG MARIANN!!!

Finally saw the official ROTF trailer last week in the previews tagged with the Star Trek movie. Uhm. Wow. There was so much going on in that trailer, that my jaw literally dropped. All I remember seeing is Megan Fox’s tush, Optimus Prime, Megan Fox’s Tush & Devastator. Wow. Devastator looked alot like the RID Landfill with the bright red/orange color schemes. I haven’t viewed the trailer 10 million times online, so that’s just whats still fresh in my memory. But the big guy isn’t going to be named Devastator right? After all, Michael Bay told Brawl that he was going to be named Devastator, instead of Brawl. So I am extra curious of what the big guy’s name is going to be. Mr. Bay can label his Transformers all the names he wants, us true fans know who’s who, we are the final word!

Oh, & speaking of Star Trek…I know it’s not part of the 4 best toy franchises, but, I”m going to break the rules here and give it a fair review. Blah, Spock, Scotty & the Medical guy were DEAD ON. Blah, James Dean, I mean Ray Liotta, I mean the guy who plays Captain Kirk was to high schoolie, Blah. Blah, The Romulans were so scary with their scary outfits and perfect veneers (way to half ass your costume/make up budget). Blah, This movie was just like watching a regular boring Star Trek show/movie with the addition of some sometimes not needed eccentric special deffects, I mean effects, Blah. Blah, Wait for it free on Cable, don’t waste $10.00 on a ticket plus $15.00 for popcorn and the $70.00 of gas it takes to get to the movie theatre.

XMen Origins: Wolverine Review (Short but sweet)
Watch the opening credits, the 10 minute scene in Africa where all of the characters invade the tall building, and the Wolverine/SaberTooth/Gambit fight. Don’t watch anything else, not even the helicopter scene. I’m warning you, you will be dissapointed. Instead, watch the 10 minute scene in Africa on an endless loop, it’s worth the price of admission. In closing, LET RYAN REYNOLDS SPEAK FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!

Reading all of your twitters (yes, I still refuse to use tweets in any shape, form or fashion, except for right then, and maybe during the cast), I seriously thought you were fucking around with all the storm chasing shit. I thought you were just on a road trip to blood fam or something. Is this a new profession, seriously serious hobby? Let us know. We both loved Twister and the Universal Studios interpretation, kinda.
We hunted all weekend for ROTF figs and nothing. Nothing pretty much in general. Mrs. McFavorite got a nice system for the road trip to the big BC. We’re leaving Wednesday night arriving at the butt crack of dawn Thursday. Probably sleeping in our hotel’s parking lot till we can check in, then onto the line for registration. You wanna try to establish a unified OYT front? We got some sticky stuff to hand out and always nice to have someone watch your spot while you go eat/drink. I haven’t heard confirmations from any other listeners, but you never know.
Sorry to hear you didn’t like the start to the Summer movie season. Are you intimately attached to either franchise? I find when people have an interest in a specific property, they are a little more critical. I’ve heard from the average joe, both are fun, Star Trek especially.
We’re going to try and see both before Botcon, I forget what movies were out before Botcon last year, but I know they were ruined while standing in the lines. Interest in Taboo too. Added it to our “queue”.

Yep, I’m a Tornadoholic. Always been fascinated with weather ever since I was a wee litta lad. I have always wanted to chase the REAL storms in the midwest. Not that Hurricanes aren’t real storms down in Florida, but chasing those are too easy. In fact, they chase us. My first official trip was last year, and I saw an F1/F2 the first day and an F4 the second. Here’s the norm for tornado chasing: 10 days of chasing plus 2,000+ miles of travelling for a few seconds or minutes of tornado if your lucky. So the answer is yes, it’s a Seriously Serious Hobby. PS: I was a huge fan of Twister the movie…before I saw them in real life. The Twister movie IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO what you see in real life. I don’t watch Twister anymore and if I happen to bump into it on TV, I laugh.

Before the Transformers 2007 Movie came out, I was a Star Wars buff for my entire life. I never dressed up, but I watched the movies millions of times. Ok maybe I dressed up as a naked Jedi, but that was only for my wife while I escorted her to Coruscant. Anyways, like most twitterbated geeks changing gears from guys stuff to girls, I sold all of my original toys at garage sales and all of the late 90’s versions on Ebay. ;(
I had alot of GI Joe’s back in the 80’s, but they too were brutally kidnapped by the Garage Sale Ghouls.
I had He-Man (I am not calling them Masters of the Universe, the name is too long. Masters of the Universe? Who says Masters of the Universe? That’s overkill.) Waaaay back in the 80’s. They disappeared too, I honestly don’t remember if I ate them or I sold them.
Not to worry though toy fans, http://www.SabertronToys.com is named Sabertron TOYS for a reason. With everybody’s help in making it popular, we will be selling much more than just Transformers. I want to one day sell all of the franchises, including the hard to find ones. And let’s not forget that it’s going to be a forum based / bloggy puppy of the free kind, and that’s always fun!
I would definately love to get together for a unified OYT front. I will be out there, and trust me, you can’t miss me. I will be sporting sabertrontoys.com stuff as well as some, ahem, “surprises.” I have been formulating a plan A, B & C of how I’m going to promote the site while keeping my space in line at the same time…Plan OYT sounds like muchisimo fun.
Ok, gotta sign off as I am just babbling now. I can’t wait to get back to Florida for pete’s sake so I can keep publishing those mindlessly mind numbing toy reviews of mine with some sprinkles of nothingness, topped with a garnish of dumb.
Oh, I almost forgot. My toy hunt through Kansas, Texas, Missouri, Iowa, Oklahoma, Nebraska & South Dakota have turned up NO ROTF figures. But with almost 3,500 miles under my belt since May 1st, surely you have got to crown me the title of longest, coolest and most bad ass Toy Runner of this Century?

I think where geting JIPTED?In the land Down under not only are the price’s of toy’s freaking redickulous we don’t even get the Transfomer’s G1 Optimus prime witch i belvive in the US is a mear seven dollars? Is this ture slick ? if so you’ve got to help a brother out with this,I’m more than happy to pay for shiping,handling,whatever and a little extra for your time ,I have only 2 transformer toy’s a Bumblebee from the 2007 movie and small Prime fig(pic’s on my Facebook).
I have heard reports of the Prime clearancing out at Target for $7, but that is at 90% off. At least here in Denver, I never see any of the big franchises getting that low. The cheapest I saw the G1 prime was $56 bucks. So you’re not missing much. I haven’t seen them, at least clearanced, for months. I can still get them full price, $70, but I don’t know if that is what you’re looking for. EE and Amazon have them at like $55-60 with shipping, so at least that is like $10 off. Hit me up, let me know.
So i hit up Amazon,Not many G1 prime’s that $7 so called price’s way to GOOD to be true!
