Open Your Toys Cast - Episode 026 (Part 1): It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

Hey toy fans, welcome back. Damn it feels good to be casting again. It had been one crazy summer. We blinked and fall is almost over. The stores are in full-on holiday mode. I even heard Christmas music doing a toy run during a blizzard the other day. The end of the year always reminds me of what I didn’t get done this year. There never seems to be enough time for, most things, let alone everything. However, it also reminds me of the new opportunities next year will bring.

Since we are still a month and a half away, let us live in the now. This is one of my most favorite times of the year. Yeah I like the cold, I love the snow and I am admittedly a holiday music junkie. But, as you’ve hopefully guessed by now, the best thing is the toys. All of the new stuff is hitting pegs and shelves, retailers are putting them on sale more frequently and in bigger numbers and you’re seeing toys in places you never thought you would. All this and the biggest shopping day is less than a week and half away. But, even Black Friday pales in comparison nowadays to the online deals. While toy shopping over the next month, just remember ’tis the season for giving. Yeah right.

What? New G1 devistator addon parts! Holy shit that snuck by me too.

I was recently dissapointed to point of anger at the half assed effort IDW put into the preview for the new ongoing transformers comic, did you guys hear any buzz about this in the geekdome?

Also on the positive tip, thanks to the sightings forum on the TWF2005 boards I was able to scoop up the last Walmart exclusive Skywarp Saturday. It’s nice to have resources on the web that allow us to help each other out.

Keep the show rolling and be safe on those icy roads this winter everybody.

I haven’t got the new ongoing book yet. I just switched from a shop to a local guy that does delivery. He’s going to knock 15% off, give me a free Previews each month and deliver to home or work. However, it’s a bi to tri-weekly thing. I’ve been chopping at the bit to read it and thus avoiding all spoilers or discussions. However, uproar is usually never good and I’m definitely scared. I’ll chime in on Episode 27.

Glad you got your MP Skywarp. He just went up on Walmart.com today and I said screw it, and bought it there with free Site to Store shipping. I only saw MP Starscream twice last time and that’s when I was hitting 15-20 stores a week. Not taking that chance again. Now we just need a US version of Thundercracker and I’ll be a happy camper.

Sending your box-o-and-tube-o-swag on Monday. Hope you’ll enjoy all the free goodness.

May the road treat you well and I hope you get some hot chick in a convertible flashing you her boobs…Slick

Shitty. You deserve some sort of break down there. Sorry the Clone Wars wasn’t one of them.

Great call jaime! Fetts brought up that same scene. I am ashamed I didn’t remember it. That semi-hollow severed arm was always very disturbing as a kid. Can’t believe I didn’t remember it.

I know what you’re saying Mike. I wonder if they’ll be able to pull off the same amount of articulation with all the pads.
