Open Your Toys Cast – Episode 039: Back to the grill again, the grill again…

It feels amazing to finally be back in the swing. I’m sure you haven’t noticed, but it has been 3, yes, THREE months since we last did a regular show. That also means that we’ve only been putting out one show a month, but oh what shows they have been. They are easily three of my most favorite shows. If you haven’t listened for awhile, they were all con wrap ups. First there was Botcon with Saber. Then Comic-Con with long time high school friends Dan, Mark and of course the lovely Kinga. To round it all out, Celebration V with G, Fetts and long-time supporter (athletic, that is) Vern. If you haven’t had a chance yet, also check out the blogs from the panels and even better the pictures and videos from each of those events.

This week we get back to business. That’s right, TOYS! And unless you’ve been sequestered involuntarily, you know they’re hitting fast and furious. New waves from the big four (well three at least) have been hitting almost every week since SDCC. Believe it or not, we have con news already. KOs and fan made Transformers stuff still dominate the news. We talk about the last couple Matty MOTUC Q and A’s and look closer at what was revealed to Dan Curto of Rebelscum by Darryl Depriest of Hasbro. There are some great pre-orders up and we drop the details about our 2nd Annual Swag Away.

I gotta go with the OG Ghostbusters over the sequel. Mrs. McFavorite prefers 2. I find it just to be a little hokey compared to 1.

If I understand about what you’re asking about the waves, it was revealed by Darryl Depriest himself.

Yeah passed on the VAT-AT. Money and space are at a premium. It would just be a display piece anyways.

Thanks for listening and commenting man…Slick

We fixed the overlapping tracks, but I was spot checking it today and heard a considerable amount of clips (cutting off of words/minor skips). Is this a regular occurrence with our casts? We’ll be looking to see what we can do with 39. Please let me know if this is an issue with the other casts.
