Well, the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful. Well, I guess it isn’t frightful. Just a couple of inches, but it is cold as hell. 6 degrees as I write this, but it’s supposed to be sunny and in the 40s tomorrow. We hit the 60s yesterday and in two days we’ll be back there again. I think there are a lot of misconceptions when it comes to Denver. Yeah, it can easily snow 8-10 inches anytime a storm blows through. We are a mile high after all. However, it’ll be sunny the next day and it usually never sticks around for more than two or three days. We hardly ever get sustained freezing temperatures that keep us iced up. As they like to say around here, we get over 300 days of sunshine a year.
We once again had some amazing stuff. However, not too much for the big four. Probably the most exciting was from Mondo. Their Panthro, uh, I mean Panthor is amazing. Also, listen just for our discussion on their Anti-Eternia He-Man. It’s a classic. Less amazing, but something I am really digging right now is the vintage carded Black Series figures. Gamorrean Guards are a focus 🙂 While most people probably don’t share my excitement for the relatively coming soon now Transformers movie, I look forward to seeing monstrosities like this Rise of the Beasts Standalone standee. In no news ain’t necessarily good news, Joe was not mentioned as one of the properties that Hasbro would be moving forward with in regard to movie projects. It may have just been an oversight, but when Play-Doh gets mentioned and you don’t, it’s not a good sign.
I’ve brought some corn for popping…Slick
