    • AAA: Remember the days back in the ’80s were vehicles has motor function capabilities, vehicle such as Mobat, Mauler, Dragon Walker, Attack Trak, Volcano, and etc. After that many years we still haven’t seen any motorized function vehicles today. Is it because motor function could be very expensive in this market? We have collector vehicle pieces that are now $400 without power function or is it there’s no demand or popularity for such gimmick in today’s collecting society? (answers) I wonder how companies able to do simple motor function as a mass retail product back in the 80s? Motor function include diecast parts which produce shipping weights. Essentially need to costing more to produce these products. If motor function is to be applied to big franchise toys today it would cost thousands of dollars. I do not want to count that smartphone transformer robot as a simple motor function gimmick. That is simply in a territory of robotics. And to be fair and that’s not a mass retail product to be counted. I believe this is just an interesting topic to discuss. I for one don’t want my transformer to change for me. Transformer is supposed to be like a Rubik’s cube. Not like a jester dancing around trying to entertain me.
