    • AAA: I’ve never been a fan of sticker sheets—especially when it comes to high-end collectibles. For the premium prices collectors are paying, graphics should be tampon-printed or directly applied to the plastic, not left to the consumer as an afterthought. Projects like HasLab, which produce expensive, crowdfunded vehicles, often include sticker sheets under the guise of “customization.” But let’s be honest—it’s a cost-cutting measure. How many of us actually apply those stickers to our high-value collectibles? Personally, I always leave them in the box. There’s also a long-term issue: adhesives degrade. Over time, environmental factors like humidity and temperature cause sticker glue to yellow, peel, or crack. LEGO has been guilty of this too, though I’ve noticed a positive shift—sets like the LEGO Soundwave now feature a higher percentage of printed elements (around 50%), which is a step in the right direction. Still, their stickers are prone to cracking and aging poorly. At the end of the day, stickers are a shortcut—one that undermines the premium experience collectors expect. If we’re investing in top-tier products, we deserve top-tier finishes.
