It is definitely that time of year. There is just crazy amounts of stuff going on, work, the show, cons, Lil’ Miss McFavorite, wife and life. I gotta say, I am killing it. However, it still seems like I’m not getting anything done. Do you know how good it feels to get things done? It’s amazing, but if you constantly worry about the things you’re not getting done, it can rob you of truly enjoying your accomplishments. Once you can appreciate that you only have so much time, the next thing you have to watch out for is poor prioritization. If you do all the piddly shit first you will never get to the tasks of substance that really affect your life. Do yourself a favor, give yourself a break and then kick your ass into gear. Don’t leave this life wishing you had more time, celebrate that you did as much as you could with the time you had.
We managed to shave some time off this show. While it’s still 2 and a half hours, that’s primarily because we just had an onslaught of SDCC news. The show was actually recorded in two parts due to some technical issues and the Comic-Con stuff is the first 45 minutes. It will probably take up even more time on the next show as we discuss all the news from SDCC. One thing it looks like we won’t know too much about is MOTUC. For the first time since the line started in 2009 there is not a panel this year. On the other extreme, Transformers has 3 panels, but none of them seem like toy panels. At least Star Wars still gets a toy panel, but even cooler than that are their exclusives this year. And for Joe, well, at least we’re getting an exclusive.

Until next time…Slick
Slick, your EQ and level were WAAAY better this ep. Sounded good.
I kind of figured you guys would answer my question the way you did. I probably should have said you can’t pick your own specialty, but I’m not always known for smarts haha
For what it’s worth, even though I’m obsessed with robots, I would go with Joe. The playsets alone win it, the Flagg is the peak of toy manufacture all time, nothing else even close. And the variety of characters is also unmatched.
Anyway, laters.
I think the only thing I changed was to move my mic closer to my big mouth, but hey sometimes that’s all it takes. Got a new fancy gaming headset for the next show. I look forward to hearing what sounds better.
I guess I never thought of thinking your favorite franchise wouldn’t be the best toy line, but I definitely see your point. I think I still have to go with TF, although your points are very sound. I just can’t get past the fact that Joes, like Masters, used a buck that was reused tens of hundreds of times.
